One story, a few rules
How a night runs at Seagrass Point, from a first hand to knowing the house rules by heart.
New to the game? Say so early
Every dealer's heard it a hundred times: “I've never played this before.” Say it before the cards go out, not halfway through a hand, and nobody minds at all.
Most tables have at least one player who started exactly that way — asking first, then getting folded into the next hand that needs a fourth.
House rules, in a few lines
Carry ID — it can be requested at any table, any night, with no exceptions made for anyone.
Chips get bought at the counter before a table, not mid-hand once cards are already down.
Full tables happen; leave your name with a dealer and the next open chair is yours.
Whatever a game's own rules don't cover, the dealer decides on the spot.
A phone can come out for a photo between hands, but calls belong at the counter.
Chips don't leave the table until they're cashed in downstairs; outside the room they're worth nothing.
